The Colorado Trail Explorer is dedicated to mapping every trail in the state of Colorado as part of the Colorado the Beautiful Initiative. It connects people, trails, and technology by bringing together federal, state, county, and local agencies to create a comprehensive repository of public recreational trails.
COTREX is led by Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and the Department of Natural Resources and is made possible through partnerships with organizations at every level statewide. It represents a seamless network of trails managed by over 230 land managers.
